High school artists are Shooting Stars

Visual, performing and literary artists from Johnson County schools have been nominated for Shooting Stars scholarships by the Arts Council of Johnson County.

The program celebrates Johnson County high school seniors who have excelled in the arts. Nominated by their arts teacher in one of nine categories, students audition before or submit their portfolio to a panel of judges for scholarship consideration.

A total of 18 scholarship recipients are announced at the Arts Council’s Annual Shooting Stars Gala at Johnson County Community College on March 27.
